Soccer Ball Sizes – Different Sizes of Soccer Ball

Soccer ball sizes differ based on the age group of the players who are going to use the ball. The ball is one of the most important gears in the sport either for practice or for a competition. It is important to choose the proper size of the ball for your team in order to achieve the best accuracy and performance of the players.
There are different materials and soccer ball sizes available which you can choose from. But before buying you can consult the coach or league to know what size is acceptable based on their regulation. This is necessary because there are leagues that have strict guidelines when it comes to what official size of ball they use.
For children eight years old and below, you can buy size 3 which is about 23 to 24 inches in circumference and weighs 12 ounces. With the small size and weight of the ball, kids can easily control it and will enjoy the game.
For older children eight to twelve years can use size 4 balls. This ball measures 25 to 26 inches circumference and weighing around 12 ounces.
If the ball is intended to be used for international standard tournaments, you must choose size 5 balls which weighs from 14 to 16 ounces and 27 to 28 inches in circumference. This rule is indicated under Law 2 section of the FIFA’s Law of the Game.
In addition, you may consider choosing the best branded balls available in the market because they feature the best in materials and aesthetics for a more enjoyable game.
